Follow up
It can hard to keep in touch after a show and real life has reared its ugly head, but make sure you do. If you meet some cool people, be sure to get their contact info, stalk them on social media, and if there was a conversation that got cut short, keep it going.
Anyone working a table at a con has some sort of business card, postcard, or flyer with their contact info, unless they had some sort of wacky printer mishap.
Scrappy Tip:
If you meet some creator of stuff you really like and you spent some time getting to know them and their business, let your fans know about them, too. Write up an article about their work or post some pictures of their set up on your social media sites. Anyone who has told me they did a blog post on my work, you can bet I shared their website on my Facebook page. And I’ll share a couple here, here, and here.
